A public demonstration of mediumship in halls, theatres or spiritualist churches and centres gives the audience or congregation the opportunity to receive messages from loved ones and witness spirit communication through a medium in the company of others.

Since this takes place in public the medium is sensitive and respectful to both the spirit people and the people receiving messages to not share anything too personal. 



Messages of a more personal nature can be shared during a private one to one sitting. 

During a public demonstration or church service the emphasis is on giving evidence of the survival of the human soul and personality beyond the experience of physical death.
